During the 2016-2017 academic year, the first year pupils at IES Port d'Alcúdia worked on a new tourist guide for children named "Alcudia Mes que Platges" (Alcúdia more than beaches). Now a reality thanks to the ALcudia Town Hall and their Environment and Heritage offices.

With teamwork, research, design, theme selection, and visits to the historical and environmental sites of Alcúdia, the school children put together the guides, which have now been edited by the Alcúdia Town Hall, gathering the ideas of he students, and translating the project into four languages, Catalan and Spanish (prepared by the students themselves) and English and German (prepared by the Town Hall). During the summer of 2018 the guide will be available to the Tourist Information Offices of Alcudia and the Port of Alcudia for tourists, visitors and residents.

The project was presented last week at the Auditori d'Alcudia.
